The Ballinger Fire Department was established in April 1905 and has been dedicated to over a century of service to our community and surrounding neighbors.
We have one full-time firefighter, one part-time firefighter.
We are currently accepting applications for volunteers.
We serve the City of Ballinger.
We are located about 36 miles northeast of San Angelo and 54 miles south of Abilene.
We average about 150 calls per year.

We handle fire prevention, fire suppression and rescue incidents.
​
The department operates one engine, one rescue truck, one ladder truck, five brush rigs, one 6,000-gallon water tanker and one command/support unit.
