The Runnels County Veterans Memorial on the Runnels County Courthouse square honors those from the county who have served in the United States military.

 

The large centerpiece stone describes the memorial, while the two immediate side pieces are engraved with the names of those killed in action. The other stones contain the names of those from Runnels County who have served in the armed forces.

 

There are more than 1,550 names on the monument, with room for another 700 names. The monument was built by donations.
